Cycling

This area is very popular with cyclists. The climate in the Spring is ideal for training, and lots of mountain roads to tackle ! We have a keen cyclist in the family happy to advise on routes etc. and offer transport if required.

Walking

This area of the Costa Blanca is famous with walkers all over the world who come here to take advantage of the wonderful winter climate and the many mountain walks. We have just started walking the countryside and there are lots of opportunities in Calpe for joining walking groups. A group is recommended, as its easy to get lost on the mountains !

Climbing

I never will !! But we are in a climbers paradise! Mountains everywhere! Of course the 310 metre Penon de Ifach is a must, one of the many routes is a gruelling 10 hour climb. There are excellent books on climbing this area showing climbs of all different levels and they're right 'on the doorstep'.

Watersports

of course there are water sports clubs too, diving, catamaran, windsurfing, sailing and fishing.

This is a sailing centre, learn to sail a catamaran, windsurfer or kayaking. Sorry the website is in Spanish but when we visited the instructor spoke English. Visit www.lasantipodas.com

You can also hire jet ski, mountain bikes, kayaks, katamaran, Quad bikes and Jeep safari see Calpe Aventura on Playa La Fossa beach.

Bowling

Bowling is very popular in this part of Spain. Many clubs and associations exist in the area.

Golf

There are plenty of opportunities for golfing in the area.

The mild climate and quality of the golf courses make it enjoyable to play golf throughout the year.
